Ko Samui , Koh Samui ou simplement Samui est une île du golfe de Thaïlande située dans la partie sud de l´isthme de Kra et appartenant à la province de Surat Thani. Située à environ 25 km des côtes, elle est la deuxième plus grande île de Thaïlande, avec une superficie de 228 km² et une population de 45 873 habitants en 2004. Elle jouit de nombreuses ressources naturelles touristiques : plages de sable blanc, coraux et cocotiers.
