United States, Scott #5726d, used(o), 2022, Commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the Birth of Charles Schulz (1922-2000), creator of the American comic strip 'Peanuts'; Schulz populated his comic world with a cast of characters, centered around the lead character, Charlie Brown, with each featuring unique personalities, which would influence their actions in the strip; he would mix and match them for maximum comic effect; his cast of characters is so well defined that each one could carry a story by themselves; these three-dimensional characters feature in storylines driven by their personalities; thus elevating ‘Peanuts’ from a simple comic strip to a substantial work of literature; this stamp features Sally, Charlie Brown's younger sister, who feels the world owes her an explanation, and by extension wants what is owed to her, but she is too young to know exactly what this might be, but whatever it is, she is pretty sure she is being cheated; stamp is from a pane of 20 characters, issued as a forever stamp at a counter value of (60 cents), issued with non-water soluble self-adhesive gum, serpentine die cut simulated perforations: 11, offset lithography printed by the Banknote Corporation of America (BCA), Scott 2025 Catalog Value: 40¢, nicely centered (superb), light, horizontal, black-inked, wavy line cancellation over the top half of the stamp and well into the main image, stamp was lifted from its mailing envelope using the Bestine solvent and placed on a piece of black card stock to provide an attractive and uniform album appearance; centering and mounting warrant a selling price premium. This is not a 'bait-and-switch;' the stamp you see will be the one you receive.
Please review my terms of sale. If you are not ordering from the United States, there is a $US1.55 additional postage expense that needs to be added to the price of the stamp. If you are ordering from the United States, there is only a $US0.68 added postage expense. Also, if you make additional purchases from my offerings, they can all go in one mailing at no extra shipping expense for the added purchases. I will send the purchase by US first class mail, since the relatively low value of the stamp does not warrant signature or tracking mail. Hence the buyer assumes risk of loss or non-delivery. I will keep a scan of my mailing to verify that the correct mailing address was used. If not satisfied, return the stamp to me at your own expense, and I will refund the cost, but not my postage to you. If the stamp is not as described, I will refund the cost and reimburse you for postage both ways.
