Note on bids below the price:

In case you were wondering: since the recent policy changes of Delcampe (2024), the shop is being flooded with bids below the asking price. Some examples:

• for auctions that have not even ended for the first time and are reasonably priced, people try to ask for a 30% discount;
• for just one postcard of 1€ some people ask for a 30 cent discount; or sometimes just for 5 cents…
• for beautiful postcards that are more expensive but are not offered for sale anywhere else, …
• etc. etc.

The shop gets one bid after another well below the asking price. There are several of them per day. People seem to think that trying goes along and Delcampe encourages this. People like discounts, which is understandable.

However, know also that Delcampe has abolished the automation around responding to these bids (e.g. automatic rejection above a certain %, or acceptance below a certain %). 

This is the reason why usually I don't even look at them and much less respond to them. Please don't expect me to answer bids below the price because you won an auction the normal way.
