United States, Scott #5572,used(o), 2021 booklet stamp, Expresso Drinks Set, issued in two panel booklets, with guillotine cut imperforated edges, of 20 stamps of four most popular expresso drinks, expresso is a coffee-brewing technique in which a small amount of nearly boiling water is forced under pressure through finely ground coffee beans to produce single cups of coffee; the first expresso machine, which allowed for the separate control over water and steam, was invented in Italy by Angelo Moriondo in 1884; the cup of coffee can be brewed quickly and individually, one cup at a time, hence the Italians coined the word ‘expresso’ with two meanings, one for fast, and one for being brewed expressly as one cup for you; this stamp shows a Cup of Cappuccino, where steamed milk is used to make this expresso drink; its name comes from the hood worn by the friars of the Capuchin order as the color of the hoods and the color of the coffee are a similar gray; issued as a forever stamp at an individual counter value of (55¢), serpentine die cut simulated perforations: 11¼x10¾, issued with non-water soluble gum on self-adhesive panes, stamp is from the lower right corner position on the back pane of the booklet, perforated at top and left, imperforated at bottom and right (PIIP), the only stamp of the twenty so configured (the other four cappuccino stamps are internal PPIP stamps; offset lithography printed by Ashton Potter USA (APU), multicolored, Scott 2025 catalog value: 30¢. Very slightly off-centered (extremely fine), light, horizontal, black-inked, wavy line cancellation over the top portion of the stamp, good perforations; the stamp was lifted from its mailing envelope by use of the Bestine solvent and placed on a piece of black card stock for an attractive and uniform album appearance; centering, mounting, and scarce perforation alignment warrants a selling price premium. This is not a 'bait-and-switch;' the stamp you see will be the one you receive.
Please review my terms of sale. If you are not ordering from the United States, there is a $US1.55 additional postage expense that needs to be added to the price of the stamp. If you are ordering from the United States, there is only a $US0.68 added postage expense. Also, if you make additional purchases from my offerings, they can all go in one mailing at no extra shipping expense for the added purchases. I will send the purchase by US first class mail, since the relatively low value of the stamp does not warrant signature or tracking mail. Hence the buyer assumes risk of loss or non-delivery. I will keep a scan of my mailing to verify that the correct mailing address was used. If not satisfied, return the stamp to me at your own expense, and I will refund the cost, but not my postage to you. If the stamp is not as described, I will refund the cost and reimburse you for postage both ways.
