Bouke (Bob) Hoogenboom (Amsterdam, May 6, 1949) is a Dutch former football player. He was a goalkeeper who was successful at KSC Lokeren in the 1970s and 1980s. He played 449 league matches for the East Flemish club and is therefore the record holder.
Bob Hoogenboom, nicknamed Bouke, started playing football at the Amsterdam amateur club De Spartaan. In 1967, the young goalkeeper moved to Ajax's youth academy. In the early seventies he was part of the first team of Ajax, at that time a top club in Europe. But that didn't give him many playing opportunities. After all, as a goalkeeper he was in the shadow of Heinz Stuy and also had Sies Wever ahead of him. In 1973 he was loaned to his former club De Spartaan for a year. He also played for the Dutch amateur football team.
In 1974, the 25-year-old goalkeeper moved to KSC Lokeren, which had just been promoted to the highest division in Belgium. Lokeren paid Ajax about 3,000 guilders (€1,300) for his transfer. Hoogenboom immediately became a permanent fixture under coach Ladislav Novák, and would remain so until the 1987/88 season. Hoogenboom experienced all the successes of the Waaslanders in the 1970s and 1980s and played an important role in the sporting advance of the club. In 1981 Lokeren became vice champion and lost the cup final. Hoogenboom also took part in the UEFA Cup five times with Lokeren. In the 1980/81 season, the Waaslanders reached the quarterfinals, in which they were eliminated by AZ '67. Hoogenboom was known as a very flamboyant goalkeeper with a sharp tongue, but also as an excellent linekeeper.
In 1988, Hoogenboom, who also ran a café near the Daknam Stadium, took a step back. He then played another season for RC Heirnis Gent in the fourth division. After his career he also ran a dancing in Lokeren.
